My dad and I have a great method of conversing with each other–order, resist, threaten and unwillingly submit.
He used to approach me with a question: Do I frighten you?
To which I replied: No, but what you might do to me sure does!

We had a great weekend with the Lincoln Park church and the theme of the series that I preached was ‘A time to Wake up’.
Sara and I have a lot of people over there that we have grown close to over the past 11 years and we always enjoy seeing them though we certainly do [...]

Sara and I were able to attend Dave Ramsey’s townhallforhope seminar tonight at one of the area local churches. There was a good crowd gathered and we had a really good time. This is the second time in April we have been in attendance at one of Ramsey’s ‘talks.’
It really struck me tonight about how [...]

I think one of the things that attracted so many people to Obama’s run to the presidency was the fact that he really wanted to communicate a reasonable sounding message.
I also think one of the major failures of the Bush presidency was his inability to communicate a reasonable sounding message for the things he was [...]

Why are kids not becoming as bad as we would ‘like’ them to be? Macleans magazine recently did a story on the results of the latest survey that showed significant drops in teen behaviour in the following four vital areas:
1) Smoking 2) Smoking drugs 3) Drinking alcohol 4) Sexual activity
Now, is Canada a Garden of [...]

We had a really good Easter Sunday. I know our fellowship used to have some who got quite upset using the terms Christmas or Easter but them more I understand Paul and even Jesus–there is nothing wrong with taking a term from our culture and using it to God’s glory (provided of course that [...]

What happened to Christianity? At around 25 A.D. all it consisted of was a preacher in the wilderness preaching about repentance and his younger cousin who dreamed ‘big dreams’. Within the next century there would be an official empire ruling concerning what to do with people who follow the ‘Christ.’
What does this tell us? Somehow [...]
