I was heading to church and I figured I would arrive about 15 minutes early. Then I turned onto Howard and all of a sudden my speed went from 50 K an hour to 30 K an hour. Okay, not so bad I thought as soon as I turn towards Wal Mart I ‘ll be [...]

By now, anyone following the election in the U.S. is aware of the controversy surrounding the ‘former pastor’ of Barak Obama–Jeremiah Wright!
It is not unusual for preachers to get mixed up in their elections but I recently heard something concerning Wright that has got me thinking.
There are a few things about this [...]

Death tolls recently seem to be just screaming at us from one disaster to another. I remember the day right after the earthquake in China, watching CNN where the death toll was said to be around 1,000! Yesterday the number had reached well over 60,000 and reports are it could be over 80,000!
What [...]

I read the book, state of fear, by Michael Crichton recently and enjoyed the book quite a bit except I wish it could have had one greater twist in the plot.
Anyway–the whole basis of the book is that we live in a constant state of fear. Fear is a way then that makes it easy [...]

Just came back from Rochester–3 straight days looking at 1 Corinthians and then how to apply it to ministry.
It was great–the camraderie between all the ministers was something to look forward to. This was really good for me and for many ministers–Bob Russel who was the senior minister of the largest Restoration movement church–18, 000 [...]

Well yesterday was our big day for walking for water.
33 of our church family came out ranging from the age of 1 to (well you can imagine). Some were professional walkers and were able to cover the distance in a short time while others took a little longer. It was bright and sunny and we [...]

My three year old revealed this to me in the van this morning! She looked at me thought she could identify this one truth about me: ‘You don’t have any boogers, you have hair in your nose!’
Talk about giving a guy a compliment! Sadly the truth is I have both! I wish I [...]

Do you question your doubts as much as your faith? That’s a pretty powerful question to really take on!
Someone looks at a situation and doubts that he/she can accomplish success. Then he looks at another person who took on the same situation and did it! Why did they have so much confidence and were never [...]

It’s 11:45 in the evening and I’m watching one of my favourite shows and it’s kind of cool because I didn’t watch the first 4 seasons and so every night at 11:00 one of the old shows is on.
Cold Case is kind of neat because they attempt to solve (always do in fact) murders from [...]
